"Dear Dr Loots,
It’s been on my mind for a while now that I should email you my thanks for sorting out my wrist when you operated on it at the end of July 2023.
On Thursday last week, I was again reminded when your name came up in conversation. You did emergency surgery for another tennis injury, Rita from Claremont, at the Kingsbury Hospital in September 2023.
Dr Loots, together we examined our scars, with wonder! We talked about how we’ve regained (almost) total use of our hand and wrist function despite both wrist bones being broken and plates inserted. Both injuries were on our left wrists, but our confidence is back and we go about our day with confidence.
Thank you once again!"

"The FINAL accident post:
Endless surgeries to repair two broken legs, a broken wrist and a shattered pelvis, have now come to an end.
Firstly thanks to my bestest friend Mark who not only saved my life, but continued to carry me through this ordeal.
To Dr Taylor, Dr vd Merwe and the many others that did their bit to help, thank you 🙏🏻
And then Dr Sirk Loots, the most incredible orthopedic surgeon who fixed me up good as new ! A leg other surgeons wanted to amputate, he saved with his incredible skills - I owe you BIG TIME !!
To my support team, family, friends, clients, and those who reached out in spite of previous issues- Niel & Pieter , that meant SO MUCH when I needed it…
I’m not “exposing” you on Facebook, but those ladies who carried me emotionally and the business financially - I can’t express my gratitude enough !
THANK YOU each and everyone, and may we all learn a lesson from this - we are people who need people"

"I am Nenyi George Andah, a sitting Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency in Ghana, and a Deputy Minister for Communications.
I was involved in a near fatal motor accident whilst performing my parliamentary duties in my constituency, and had to be airlifted to a hospital in the city to have an emergency surgery on my broken right femur, broken right index finger, cut on my upper lip and other abrasions on my head.
The local medical team did well and operated on me and inserted an implant, however for more than six months after the surgery, I could still feel a very severe pain and was not able to walk without constantly taking pain killers even with the aid of the double crutches.
I made contact with a number of medical facilities in the United Kingdom, United States and South Africa, trying to seek a second opinion with my X-rays.
Dr Loots came in highly recommended. His diagnosis of the problem, after seeing the X-rays reflected the exact concerns and the corrective procedure he discussed with me during my first consultation made me feel much better and comfortable. indeed after my first discussion with Dr Loots, I was convinced that I was going to be better with him handling the corrective procedure to replace the implant and fix the broken index finger.
I must say that the level of care, his attention to detail and his personal interventions made me feel very much at home even when I had travelled from Accra - Ghana with my family for the procedure. His staff were very professional during the pre-ops preparations and post the surgery, the first question I asked was ‘when are they going to start?’. I am grateful to Dr Loots and his team for taking me in as their patient and for performing the corrective surgery on my leg and finger. I am eagerly looking forward to my review in the next few months to have the implant removed.
I will not hesitate to recommend Dr SB Loots and his team to anyone that. requires orthopedic services and leave with a smile.
Please accept compliments of my highest assurance. "

"The operation on my wrist has proved to be a perfect success, I don’t have any problems at all.
I can certainly recommend the consideration and treatment I received at Chris Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, despite the problems I had with my insurance company.
Dr Loots had two options, strap up my wrist and wait till I got home in England, or do the job in Cape Town. He decided, due to the extent of the injury to my wrist, an immediate operation was necessary, regardless of the insurance problem. It helped me complete my holiday in Cape Town, 11more days, and I am certainly satisfied with the way I was treated at the Chris Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town.
Many thanks for all you did for me."

"My name is Agostinho Esperança, Angolan citizen, 56 years old, Industrial Engineer, MSc. & Ph.D in Fluid Mechanics, with permanent residency in Luanda-Angola. This testimony, in fact, is a sincere and profound tribute of gratitude to Mr Dr S. B. Loots, all his administrative and orthopaedic teams at the Christian Barnard Memorial hospital in Cape Town - South Africa. In this short note, I would like to publicly, express my deep thanks for your humanism, friendship, cordiality, professional competence, dedication and all the attention given to me in your office for almost 2 years (2014-2016), a time in which I remained under his medical care.
I arrived in Cape Town in a wheelchair-July 2014 via the insurance company ENSA -Angola and the corresponding SOS International SA. Both legs were broken, the left femur, the tibia and the peronium of the right leg in the sequence of accidents suffered in Luanda-Angola. The experience and high professional competence, the use of advanced technology by the hand of Dr Loots, allowed me today to walk again, practice sport, and resume the routines of my life.
If you are in a situation of desperation today, and you have no alternative to cure your orthopaedic disease, trust in God, yes, but above all in the skilful hand, integrity and exceptional intelligence of Mr Dr Loots, renowned orthopaedic surgeon and high-profile specialist in the Western Cape - South Africa. Do not hesitate to take the step forward ... you will come out victorious ... There is always hope."
Mr Agostinho Esperanca - Luanda Angola
"I want to say a very big thank you to you and your team for being so kind to me after my accident on Table Mountin six weeks ago. Your efforts to get me back on the Queen Victoria where outstanding.
I am slowly getting back to normal though my thumb and 2 fingers are still numb but I guess when you are 75 it is bound to take longer to recover. The orthopaedic surgeon in my local hospital was really impressed with your skill.
So despite the circumstances, I will have fond memories of Cape Town and the kindness of all the people we met there."

"My name is Hamza, I was one of your patients back in 2016. What happened is that I fell off Lions Head and you reconstructed my knee because my MCL got torn and a the upper part of my tibia got fractured, you did put a screw in my knee. I did not need rehab training because I am a personal trainer and you said that I could do my rehab alone. I am from Madagascar, I don’t know if you remember me.
4 years later, I am back in Madagascar and I am doing 200% fine and I am in the best shape of my life. My knee is doing extremely well and I train heavy in the gym wirthout any problem, my knee has never hurted once since the surgery. Thank you for your help Doctor. "
